Puerta Vallarta

Sea Story is currently berthed in Marina Vallarta where I'm getting her ready for the 1200 mile trip back up the coast in April. At the moment, she's getting her hull cleaned up and waxed.

The northbound crew, Jim Frisk and Connie LaBounty are coming in the first week in April, and we plan to take up to three weeks to make it back to the U.S.by the 3rd of May. That's plenty of time to make the trip and still visit some of the more interesting anchorages and little towns along the way...

Once we're on the way, I'll post our progress and some photos here for our friends to help keep track of us...

Hi, nice way to keep in touch. Jealous of the upcoming trip. Do you plan to go strait up or plan on making some stops and smelling the roses?? Seems like only yesterday we made the trip, i think of it often, good luck and have a nice trip. Wynn

Wynn,

It WAS only yesterday! But then I have heard that: "When you're over the hill, you pick up speed!"

Planning to take our time heading north - about three weeks to get to San Diego. Will for sure give you a call when I get to town this time.... Jerry

Jerry,

Last week I helped deliver one of the winners of the Newport-Cabo race back to San Diego from Cabo San Lucas. What an awesome trip! The boat is Criminal Mischief, a Reichel Pugh 45... ultra-light carbon fiber sled. Cool ride, but no creature comforts. It was my watch when we approached San Diego, so I got to bring her in past point Loma to Shelter Island... at night! Much easier to do the second time. Thanks for all you taught me on our January trip! And good luck on your passage home!
